Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand (Ephesians 6:12)

Mission of the Deliverance Institute: 1. Train and encourage believers to study, meditate, and apply God's truth to their daily lives. (John 8:32)
2. Teach believers the various strategies of spiritual warfare, how to "Put on the whole armor of God" to ward off the enemy and overcome his demonic onslaughts. (Eph. 6:10-18)
3. Equip believers with the tools to exercise spiritual authority, administer self-deliverance as well as set others free from demonic bondages. (Isaiah 61:1, Luke 4:18, 10:19)
What is Deliverance? Deliverance can be instantaneous or progressive depending on our level of faith, how much we know truth, our willingness to apply the truths in God's word to be delivered, and a combination of other factors. Often, deliverance is associated with shaking, rolling, or sometimes drooling when one expels demons. We think deliverance occurs only when one spits, kicks, twists, screams, throws up, or wrestles with demons during prayer. Sometimes, it does involve some of those things. Some demons scream, kick, or fight, before they leave. While some leave in dramatic ways, others simply leave quietly without a fight. Some live through yawning, coughing, breathing, or some other conventional ways. Deliverance can also occur when we simply obey God's Word. "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32) His word is truth. When we acknowledge and practice truth, it liberates us. Truth not only facilitates and maintains deliverance, but it keeps the devil at bay. We are truly delivered when we conform our lives to God's character.
Where do our Problems come from? It baffles us why we constantly have to live a life of warfare instead of a life of victory in Christ. Often, we pray but claim our prayers make little or no difference in our lives. We meditate on the word of God, yet wrestle with all kinds of fearful and vain thoughts. We struggle with feelings of rejection despite the fact that God loves us unconditionally. Here we are relentlessly trying to live by God's standards, but the devil seems to be at our heels; and will not leave us alone! We work hard and faithfully pay our tithe, yet we can't seem to make ends meet in spite of hard work and obedience. It is like we are experiencing "closed heavens"; our finances are draining in a basket of lack, and the "devourer" is having a field day withour hard earned money. We love the Lord dearly, yet find our self wallowing uncontrollably in what grieves Him the most - sin! We struggle with addictions and self-defeating habits despite their dangers. We wrestle with the same issues and addictions that plagued our parents. We not only find ourselves reliving the history of our parents and revolving in the same circle of dysfunctions, but also find ourselves reproducing the same history of abuse, divorce, fear, rejection, ill health, sexual perversion, depression, alcohol and drug abuse and other addictions from past generations. We find our self replicating the same unhealthy generational behavior we not only found disturbing, but vowed never to repeat. Sometimes, we sound like our own parents. We seem to be a replica of their mentality. Our reflections, words, and responses are no different than theirs. It scares us that we are reliving a mindset that kept our bloodline in bondage. We not only wonder why we are vulnerable to the same weaknesses of past generations, but also fear the possibility of passing on the same generational weaknesses to our children. In some cases, our children are fighting the same battles like we are and wallow in the same sin and bondage. We recognize the dangers of transferring these unresolved issues and dysfunctions to our children and future generations. Yet, we feel powerless and helpless about doing something about it. Deep within our hearts, we realize that this is not normal. Something is terribly wrong somewhere. This does not make sense anymore because we are expected to live a victorious life since we are new creatures in Christ. But yet, we are not! We recognize that the problem is not with God. He is faithful; He can never fail or lie. He keeps His word. Therefore, the burden of responsibility falls on us humans to embrace change so we can conform our lives to His. The relevant questions that must be answered are:
Why are we revolving in the same circle of sin, abuse, addictions, or other weaknesses like past generations? Do we have open doors that the devil has utilized to gain access into our lives? Are there unconfessed sins inciting these problems? Are we plagued by generational curses that have not been broken? Do we have yokes of bondages from our bloodline that has not been destroyed? Do we have unresolved issues from the past negatively affecting our present? Do we have unsevered ungodly soul ties that have become hindrances? What sins or dysfunctions have been passed on to us from past generations? Is lack of repentance for generational sins affecting us and our children? Are there curses and ungodly covenants made on our behalf that are affecting us? Are there curses and ungodly covenants we have ignorantly made ourselves that are working against us? Have we ignorantly or consciously dabbled into witchcraft or the occult but have not repented of our sins? What is the underlining cause of our problems?
The Good News The good news is deliverance answers these and many other questions we may have. Jesus came to redeem us from sin. However, this does not mean that we are automatically saved. Still, voluntarily, we have to confess our sins, accept Him into our hearts, and verbally confess Him as Lord and Savior to activate our salvation. Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. (Galatians 3: 13) By His redemption, we do not have to suffer the consequences of sin. But we do need to exercise authority in Jesus to renounce, refute, denounce, and resist generational sins and cancel all the generational curses that have plagued our bloodline. It is our responsibility to use the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse our bloodline from any pollution. The Bible says, "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away and behold all things are become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17) We do not have to stay in bondage, suffer the consequences of past generational sin or weaknesses. Certainly, we do not have to transfer our own weaknesses, vulnerability, or addictions to our own children and future generations. We must decide if the "buck will stop with us" or if we will transfer garbage to our children and contaminate future generations. We should be transferring blessings, righteousness, character, truth, values, and spiritual legacy to our children so they will not only reproduce the character of God, but advocate His will.
Every Christian needs to go through deliverance as often as they need to. Deliverance is like doing oil change in a car. Now, we all know the benefits of oil change! Born again believers need to administer self deliverance as often as oil change is needed in a car to run smoothly. Deliverance removes all the impurities, contamination, and all the junk from our lives.
Going After the Root Deliverance goes after the root of sin, addictions, codependency, abuse, unhealed wounds, failure, rejection, depression, and all the hordes of unresolved issues we face in life. It goes after the underlining cause of a situation rather than the effects. There is always a root cause to every sin or dysfunction in our lives. Our character is only a manifestation or display of what we really are on the inside. Our mistake is we try to get rid of the FRUITS, (actions or outward manifestations) instead of the ROOT, (foundation or cause) of our problems. God wants to lay the axe of the Holy Spirit to every evil root and works of flesh in our lives. When the basis of a problem is uprooted, it will no longer have a foundation to flourish or bear fruits. It is true that there are some problems that have been imposed on us by past generations. But we do not have any excuse to stay in bondage because Christ has given us the authority to be liberated through His blood. He wants to destroy the various strongholds and idols in our lives. But we have to be willing to label them by their proper names, not sugarcoat or tolerate them. Also, we have to been willing to accept responsibility and come to a place of repentance. Only when we see sin and addictions exactly as He sees them can we reach for deliverance. This program not only helps to identify the source of our struggles, where, why, and how deeply ingrained issues manifest, it also provides biblical solutions to reach for change, healing and deliverance.
Fighting Back With Truth! We are in an on going spiritual battle. There will be no white flag raised to cease-fire "until the Lord returns". We are God's army of warriors for these last days. Rather than sit idly and watch the devil exploit our lives, families, communities, churches, and world, we need to stand up and fight back with truth, righteousness, prayer, the Sword of the Spirit, and other spiritual weapons. Enough is enough! The Lord has anointed and empowered us to push back the forces of darkness, execute His will on earth, be His voice, and the light and salt of the earth. Taking our rightful place in His army will not only empower us to live a victorious life, but it will spur us to fulfill our divine destiny and provoke others to fulfull theirs. We must all enlist in God's armyof warriors in the battlefield. (Ephesians 6:10-18) We are equipped with supernatural weapons to pull down the strongholds of the enemy. (2nd Corinthians 10: 3-4) Through this program, you will discover how to use these spiritual weapons the Lord has made available to us.
Overcoming Depression and Suicidal Tendencies
Due to Guilt..... Loss..... Loneliness..... Disappointment..... Rejection..... Peer- Pressure..... Grief..... Failure..... Hopelessness..... No Sense of Purpose..... Low Self-esteem..... Shame..... Emotional Trauma/Pain..... Helplessness..... Lack of Passion or Drive for Life..... and much more
Have you ever experienced a lingering sad feeling? Ever felt like the weight of the whole world is on your shoulders and crushing you down Do you have a persistent struggle with feelings of rejection, loneliness, emptiness, or hopelessness?
These are some of the warning signs of depression.
This is what depression says:
“I am miserable, powerless, hopeless, and I am all alone in this mess. Its lonely out here and no one even cares enough to understand. I don’t care either. Possibly, my mouth really stinks. But I don’t want to brush my teeth, take a shower or put on some decent clothes. Life is a drag. Life is not fair. Worse, I don’t feel like talking about it because you won’t understand. You’d judge me. So please, don’t trespass my territory. Don’t invade my emotions. Don’t make me feel accountable. Don’t try to rescue me. I…want…to…stay…here…and…die!”
If you have ever wished you were dead because of circumstances surrounding your life; If you have ever felt so alone, hopeless, and helpless because the whole world is caving in on you; There is hope and help in the Lord. The prophet, Jeremiah encountered the same experiences. He wrote: Cursed be the day in which I was born! Let the day not be blessed in which my mother bore me! Let the man be cursed who brought news to my father, saying, “A male child has been born to you!” Making him very glad. And let that man be like the cities, which the LORD overthrew, and did not relent; Let him hear the cry in the morning And the shouting at noon Because he did not kill me from the womb, That my mother might have been my grave, And her womb always enlarged with me. Why did I come forth from the womb to see labor and sorrow That my days should be consumed with shame. (Jeremiah 20:14-18)
I’m talking about depression. Depression is an emotional suicide. Gloom is like a cankerworm that slowly eats away the human spirit. It seeps away one’s energy and the desire to live.
This program is not a secular or clinical approach to treating depression. A medical approach may involve some form of therapy or taking some antidepressants which comes with so many side effects. Once, I was given a depression medication to treat a migraine headache. I will never forget the horrible experiences I had with the side effects of the medication. My mouth was so dry. I could hardly swallow. I was dizzy and nauseous. It felt like I was floating on thin air. I didn't wait for the doctor to discontinue it. I did after a few days. Imagine the pain and suffering some people on depression medication go through. Medications are designed to help people manage depression, not cure it. But this program focuses on the biblical way to deal with depression. It not only reveals the truth about depression but also provides the antidote, prevention, and the permanent cure from a biblical point of view. It is so imperative not to rely on medicines alone to cure depression. This spiritual approach furnishes you with workable tools to deal with it, how to avoid becoming a victim, healthy ways to confront and overcome it. The spiritual approach to conquering depression unleashes truth in the word of God needed to bring about permanent change and healing. If you or your loved one is suffering from depression or suicidal tendencies, please, do something about it before it is too late. Let us label depression and suicidal tendencies with their proper names. We can’t sugarcoat them or defend fear, lingering sadness, loss, and other unresolved issues that can lead to depression. It is imperative that we confront and resolve these issues so we cannot only be restored but also be able to develop the intensity and passion to pursue our dreams. Get the help you need. Empower yourself with Truth so you can rise to your potential. You were created with Purpose cemented in your being. You are here on Assignment. Challenge yourself to move beyond unfavorable circumstances that may be surrounding you. Envisage every obstacle as a stepping-stone to achieving your goals. Dare to hope and dream again!

You and I have Been There understand what it entails to emotionally hit bottom and the only thing that makes sense is to rely on God’s mercy. I recognize how it feels like to be lonely and empty on the inside. I have cried out to God: “Mercy, Lord, please, have mercy on me.”
Several times, my life has come to a standstill and “Time” would seem to drag! Each minute seems like eternity. All the same, during these cataclysmic times, the Holy Spirit has proved to be the greatest friend and comforter I have ever known. Often, amidst crisis, His still small, voice is always clear and distinct, soothing, encouraging, chastising, and occasionally grieving for you and with me. He grieves for me when I am ignorant and mulish. He grieves with me because He understands and feels my sensitivities. My debility has never overwhelmed Him. When overwhelmed with life, I still sense His sweet presence. Its so heartening to know that He understands every bit of our emotions and is touched by the feelings of our infirmities, (Heb. 4:15) He is a sensitive and caring Person of the Trinity.
Despite His reassuring presence, there is a great danger if we pay deaf ears to His instructions for freedom. He will not yank us out of the depression “darkness” like a piece of stake! First, He’ll require we activate our faith to birth His deliverance! Yes, He’ll demand our obedience and our response will determine our duration in that “darkness”. Understandably, crisis may hold us captive… Life may devastate us… Our marriage may look and feel like a bed of thorns… Rebellion and drugs may have defamed our children… Our challenges may have multiples of problems… Conceivably, people we trusted may have pierced a sharp knife in our hearts and we may be bleeding profusely. Yes, we may have been bruised by bondage. Nonetheless, we must never play smart or stubborn in His presence. We must be teachable or our obstinacy will empower Satan to enlarge the darkness.
Satan will hatch up a thousand and one reasons why we should remain “there”. Oh! When you are “there”, it hurts terribly… t’s melancholy in its fullest capacity… The epitome of sadness… Only the presence of the Holy Spirit illuminates your surroundings. Life becomes meaningless…purposeless… The sun appears dark and gloomy… The beauty of nature we once enjoyed appears invisible. Even the thin air you cherished suddenly becomes still and…stale… Things that excited us cease. Sounds of laughter turn to one of sorrow. Why was I ever born?” we wonder. Why is life picking on me? We wonder dishearted. Our internal and external visage becomes marred with grief. Usually, depression begins with only a few minutes, then hours and if we tolerate it, it drags into months or even years! There”, we forget our past blessings and wallow in self-pity and defeat… Terror grips hold of us… Emotions run out of control… We feel and breathe pain… Stress…Confusion…Anger…try to consume us. Anxiety grips us as we attempt to plead for Spiritual oxygen… Paralysis and despondency blast through every fiber of our being and slowly, our strength begins to deteriorate. Gradually, the desire to “live” begins to melt away like ice under a hot Florida summer sun. We become paranoid… Mentally, we are alert…but lethargic on the inside, Vivacious externally but numb internally. We walk around like a zombie, alive but merely existing! When we look, we really can’t see; Listen, but can’t actually hear; Touch but can’t feel… We just sit there and stare into empty space, dazed, wondering how we landed “there” in the first place. If we do not make a conscious decision to walk out of “there” fast, we become your own worst nightmare. Tarring “there” is like burning a candle at both ends. We become trapped in our own little world.
“There” we begin to mislabel our person, and blame our self for our predicament. Our mind becomes jumbled with mixed emotions. One part of us really wants to fight for our life. But the other doesn’t. In fact, we really don’t care! We’ve become too numb with grief and pain.
Meanwhile, in hell, the devil and his demons are jubilating because they got us trapped. Notwithstanding, the Holy Spirit is “there” with us trying to shake you out of your mental slumber. We may not even acknowledge His presence. Why? We are too mad at our self and at God to even care. Because we do not trust Him enough to lead or rescue us, we shove Him aside. As a matter of fact, we do not trust anyone. We already have this mid set that everyone is out to get or hurt us. So mentally, we vow never to trust anyone again, including the only one capable of liberating us— the Holy Spirit. Because of our lack of trust, we build an emotional barricade around us and dare anyone to cross over our line to reach us. I’m talking about depression. Depression is an emotional suicide. Gloom is like a cankerworm that slowly eats away the human spirit. It seeps away one’s energy and the desire to live.
Depression Horrors According to U.S. statistics, over 19 million Americans suffer from depression. Every day, more than eighty-six Americans commit suicide. More people die from suicide than homicide in the USA. Suicide is the ninth leading cause of death in America. The escalating rate of other societal problems and psychosocial issues are heart-rendering as well.
We all wrestle with issues of anger, emotional pain, rejection, low self-esteem, and other plethora of deep-seated unresolved issues due to our human depravity. These unhealed issues cause us to demand or beg for love, mismanage our psychosocial needs, use people to gauge our worth, absorb abuse, cling to resentment, clasp failure, or sink into depression. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." (Hosea 4:6) If the devil can keep us ignorant, he does not have to worry about Truth liberating us. It is God's Truth that sets us free! His Truth confronts, equips, empowers, liberates, and restores us. "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make your free." (John 8:32) The good news is Jesus has given us the power to overcome these challenges.
Of course, we are not perfect. But we can embrace truth that can liberate us; learn to love and accept our self unconditionally, discover healthy ways to relate to others, and reach for change, healing, and restoration in order to make a difference in our world. Making healthy and godly choices will not only impact our personal lives, but our families, communities, and the world.
Go through the statistics described below. These statistics portray the heart-rending challenges hordes of people face across the nation. A global statistics would be mind-boggling. These statistics have human faces, names, families, and broken dreams. Each represents a friend, spouse, parent, sibling, neighbors, or co-worker.
Depression Facts and Statistics
By: Bob Murray, PhD and Alicia Fortinberry, MS
Depression is one of the greatest problems and killers of our time. Here we list the latest depression statistics, reveal surprising facts about underlying depression causes, the failure of standard treatments, and what works for depression in the long-term.
Depressive disorders affect approximately 18.8 million American adults or about 9.5% of the U.S. population age 18 and older in a given year. This includes major depressive disorder, dysthymic disorder, and bipolar disorder.
Everyone, will at some time in their life be affected by depression -- their own or someone else's, according to Australian Government statistics. (Depression statistics in Australia are comparable to those of the US and UK.)
15% of the population of most developed countries suffers severe depression.
30% of women are depressed. Men's figures were previously thought to be half that of women, but new estimates are higher.
54% of people believe depression is a personal weakness.
41% of depressed women are too embarrassed to seek help.
80% of depressed people are not currently having any treatment.
92% of depressed African-American males do not seek treatment.
15% of depressed people will commit suicide.
Depression will be the second largest killer after heart disease by 2020 -- and studies show depression is a contributory factor to fatal coronary disease.
Depression Link to Heart Disease. Hostility, Depression May Boost Heart Disease
Depression results in more absenteeism than almost any other physical disorder and costs employers more than US$51 billion per year in absenteeism and lost productivity, not including high medical and pharmaceutical bills.
The depression statistics stated in this report are the result of published information dealing with depression statistics and fact. Although some of these depression statistics show the frequency of depression among different population sectors, others show the delicate mind/body connection fact. Take, for instance, a study showing that people with depression are four times as likely to die within six months of a heart attack. Other information shows that when depression is high, the body's immune system suffers. The purpose of this information is to bring awareness, based on statistics, fact information and observational information. With these statistics in hand, people suffering from depression can begin to understand that they are not alone. A simple fact is that depression is occurring more often and at earlier ages than in decades past.
